Under the terms of the warranty, you are required to maintain, operate and use your BMW according to the manufacturer’s instructions and within the operating limitations specified in the BMW Owner Manual and BMW Service Booklet. We strongly recommend that you service your BMW exclusively at BMW Authorised Dealer outlets at all times. Your new BMW, sold by itself or a BMW authorised dealer, comes with a three-year warranty for its painted surface, starting from the warranty start date of your BMW. Please note that this coverage excludes any damage caused to the painted surface by external or environmental factors. 5. Rust perforation warranty. Vehicles sold after 2010 come with a twelve-year bodywork warranty, regardless of mileage, and a three-year paintwork warranty, all provided by your authorised BMW Dealer. The entire vehicle, except for wearing parts, along with all Genuine BMW Parts and Accessories are backed by a two-year warranty with no mileage limit, running from the warranty start date. A guaranteed way to maintain your driving pleasure. The rust perforation warranty covers the entire bodywork of the new vehicle ex works. However, additional components like doors, panels, trim strips, and roof rails are excluded. The conditions for making a warranty claim are as follows: a) The rust perforation was not caused by external influence on the body or under body protection (for example, accident, stone chipping, and environmental influences). b) The buyer has damage to the body and underbody remedied immediately after discovery of this damage by an Authorised BMW Workshop, unless the damage is caused by neglect or external influences (see a). c) In case b) the inspection prescribed in the inspection instructions and any improvements have been property confirmed by the Authorised BMW Workshop. d) Any body repairs performed by an Authorised BMW Workshop have been carried out in line with accepted technical principles and any replaced parts have been protected against corrosion in accordance with the manufacturer specifications. If rust damage occurs because one of the above requirements was unfulfilled, the warranty claim will not be accepted.
